We are now offering a line of spalling and
cleaning hammers for those with local raw knapping stone resources. On

These small hammers are also good for knocking
awkward edges off of small nodules to create platforms
for standard billet reduction. For spalling brittle material
such as obsidian or glass please check out our brass spalling hammer.
Steel hammer heads are constructed of carbon steel, and are
not considered soft treated steel. Approximate weight of the hammer is of
the steel head and handle combined. Handle is constructed of a fiberglass core
with ergonomic rubber grips.
